Hey Howdy Hey Carol,
It is so great to see you back at planDisney.
While it may be too early for me to begin stringing holiday lights in my own home, it is never too early to discuss the holidays at
Walt Disney World Resort, which is my absolute favorite time of the year to visit. One of the things that continues to amaze me is how each theme park and
Disney Resorts Collection hotel has its own theme and each feels completely different than the others. From the African themed ornaments adorning the massive tree at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to the elegant Victorian glass and lace decorations at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, to the retro glitz and glamor at
Disney's Hollywood Studios, each theme park and resort has its own unique personality. You can almost see the pixie dust sprinkled on every twinkling light and ornament.
Good news for Guests looking to enjoy these holiday decorations. As soon as the clock strikes midnight on Halloween, Mickey's elves roll up their sleeves and get to work. Typically Magic Kingdom is the first theme park to complete the holiday transformation, with the decorations in place by the first week of November - just in time for the first night of
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. While the resorts are usually the last to "deck their halls", Guests will find most, if not all, decorations in place about a week before Thanksgiving. If you are planning on visiting during the holiday season, make sure you plan a day to resort hop and enjoy the resorts decked out in their holiday best.
Wishing you the most magical holiday season. If I can help with any additional planning questions, please stop back and
see me.
