When are the Christmas decoration at Disney World take down? Going Jan 1 to 5 th only to see all the decorations in the parks and resorts on the monorail. Really need to know if they will up then. And if characters will be Christmas outfits until Jan 5th

    Hi there, Judy!

Christmas is truly the most magical time of the year at Walt Disney World. With the theme parks and the resort hotels decking the halls and donning the holiday splendor, there's a whole different level of magic in the air.

Just like the magical transformation that takes place between the Halloween season and the Christmas season - seemingly transforming the parks and resorts overnight, the case is similar for Christmas. Decorations begin coming down around the 1st of January, with pretty much everything restored to the regular Disney magic by the end of the first week of January.

Celebrations such as the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays and the Candlelight Processional come to a close on December 30th, and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party ends this year on December 20. This allows the extended park hours needed to accommodate the Christmas crowds.

You will still be able to enjoy the Flurry of Fun at Disney's Hollywood Studios. The festivities here go through January 6, 2019, and will include falling snow and holiday shows.

Enjoy your glimpse of the holiday Magic, Judy!
