Hi! We are going on a Christmas Cruise with our then 10 month old. We are thinking about putting her in childcare for dinner time. Have u ever used it? If so, what did u think of it? Are there any major things I need to know that would make it go smoother?

Welcome aboard, Jennifer! Your cruise this Christmas is going to be a very memorable one for your family. The decorations, festive atmosphere, holiday events and Christmas music will really make this a magical Christmas at sea!

My family just returned from seven nights aboard the Disney Wonder last week and the Christmas decorations had just been hung. Boy, was it beautiful! I'm excited for you to experience the holidays at sea too!

The nurseries onboard all of the Disney cruise ships are wonderful, safe, fun places for the littlest cruisers to enjoy with the highly trained counselors while parents sneak away for some adult time. This is not just babysitting, Jennifer, but entertainment time for those little one. Even the Disney characters stop in to play and have fun with them, so your daughter will be in great hands, having quite a bit of fun!

Meals are not provided in the nurseries, however, apple juice, water, crackers and little snacks are available. Parents can bring some foods into the nursery for their children, but there are some restrictions, such as nuts, so be sure to verify before you leave your little one there with any food.

Keep in mind that the nursery times do book up, so if there is a specific time and day you know you'd like to use the nursery, book it once your Online Check-In window opens at 75 days prior to sailing for first time cruisers. There may be additional time slots still open once you're onboard, but it is always a good idea to book any must-have dates ahead of time.

I hope that helps as you continue to plan, Jennifer! Please let me know if I can assist with anything else before you set sail!
