Will there be Christmas church services on Disney property this year? Also, will the monorail be running from the Contemporary to the Grand Floridian December 20 - 25, 2020

Hi there, Miriam! Thanks so much for bringing this great question to us here at planDisney.

You are going to have your best holiday yet at Walt Disney World Resort. Something about the spectacular decor and the spirit of everyone gathered together, combined with some quality family time, really puts a little extra magic into the season.

Miriam, I have spoken to a few Cast Members who have said that they are still waiting for details to be announced for a Christmas Day service at Walt Disney World Resort. Historically, these services were held three times a day in the ballroom of Disney's Contemporary Resort. If services are not held this year, you should be able to take a taxi or ride-share service to a worship location of your choice.

Now, it sounds like you have heard about the recent construction of the monorail stations at resorts located on the monorail loop at Walt Disney World Resort. Miriam, only the monorail station at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort will be under construction at the time of your visit, so you should be able to hop aboard at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and disembark at Disney's Contemporary Village Resort, and vice-versa, with no problem.

I hope that this helped, Miriam. Please come back here to planDisney if we can help you figure out where to stay, play, or dine at Walt Disney World Resort.

    Have a Holly Jolly Christmas!
