Welcome to planDisney, Brittany! I'm so happy to hear you'll be visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the most magical time of the year. There's nothing better!
Typically Christmas services are held in the Fantasia Ballroom located at
Disney's Contemporary Resort. Although nothing has been announced yet for 2022, in past years, the service schedule for Christmas Day was as follows:
*Catholic Mass 8 am and 10:30 am
*Protestant Service 9:15 am
When I spoke with Guests Services, she mentioned that plans are usually not finalized until about two weeks before Christmas. Try calling them before your trip at
(407) 939-2273, and hopefully, they can give you a confirmation. She also strongly recommended using the complimentary Disney transportation options instead of driving your car since the parking lot is restricted to guests staying at the hotel or those with dining reservations. If you happen to be staying in a resort on the
Monorail loop, then getting there will be "a hop, skip, and a jump!" Otherwise, take the bus to
Magic Kingdom Park and walk to the Contemporary Resort.
An alternative suggestion is to visit the Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe, which is just a short drive away::
8300 Vineland Avenue
Orlando, Florida 32821
(407) 239-6600
Brittany, I also think you would enjoy the
Candlelight Processional, which is my favorite seasonal event. Each night, a celebrity narrator tells the story of Christmas, recounting the biblical tale of a savior born in Bethlehem. Woven into the production are stirring songs of hope and joy performed by the orchestra and choir. Check the Walt Disney World website for a schedule of times and narrators.
Have a magical vacation!
