If you had to choose between the Sci-Fi and Mama Melrose at Hollywood studios which one would you go to? I am getting mix reviews from friends...I am coming to Disney in Oct with my daughter who will be 10

With no hesitation I say Sci-Fi -- and that's what my twin 10-year-old daughters just said too.

Mama Melrose is good, with perhaps better food than the Sci-Fi. It is, however, not all that different from hundreds of other Italian restaurants you might encounter anywhere in the U.S. On the other hand, the Sci-Fi is a concept unlike any other I have ever seen. The atmosphere and themeing are incredible. I have found it a great place to talk to my kids about "old time" pop culture. I also love that the Sci-Fi has a truly Disney feel to it, without using the DIsney characters. Also, many of the movie-screen clips are just plain funny. We never leave without having a good laugh about something we've seen on the screen.

I think the novelty alone is worth the Sci-Fi visit.

    Enjoy!
