Which would you choose as an ending to an escape wedding fireworks cruise (but my DGM gets seasick) dessert reception at fantasmic or illuminations or dessert reception at GF? we had been planning the wishes cruise but I don't want my DGM to be left out?

    Hi Samantha,

How exciting to be planning a Disney wedding followed by a picture perfect ending to the day. It is so thoughtful of you to reconsider your firework cruise to accommodate family that may not have the stomach for the adventure.

All of the choices you mention are beautiful and romantic and I am sure your family would enjoy any of them. Given the choice, I would personally select the Illuminations dessert reception. While a private reception at the Grand Floridian would be amazing and Fantasmic is a great show, I love the setting of being inside Epcot for Illuminations. The Illuminations show is moving and beautifully tells the story of the world we live in and those around us. The reception will be held in a private area on the World Showcase Lagoon and will provide your guests with an amazing view of Illuminations.

I have been fortunate enough to be a guest at two of these Illumination dessert receptions in the last few months and I can tell you that the desserts and drinks are delicious. There could not have been a more perfect ending to the day.

Wishing you a magical start to your life together!
