the children's menu say only for children under 9. We have a dining plan to include table service meals but I think my girls may prefer something from the children's menu rather than the adults- are they able to pick even though they are over 9

    Greetings Rebecca!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  You are going to love the 2017 Disney Dining Plan. Although it is up to the discretion of each restaurant, I have found the servers at Table-Service restaurants work very hard to accommodate Guests to ensure they have a magical dining experience.

My 11-year-old son is a very picky eater, so I can certainly understand your concern. Although he is considered an adult at Walt Disney World Resort, he has been allowed to order an adult portion of a kids' menu item at dining locations when we have asked. I recommend talking to your server at any restaurant that your girls prefer the kids' menu items over the adult selections to see if he/she can accommodate them.
I hope this information is helpful to you. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical trip, Rebecca!
