Hi! Are children, those under 21 years of age, allowed to go to the lounge/bar area at Space 220? Thanks!

Welcome back to planDisney, Jennifer! I’m so happy to see that you have a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort planned for the end of November! Thanks for sending us your planning question.

Space 220 Restaurant is the newest dining experience at EPCOT and it’s literally out of this world! For the most part, children under the age of 21 are allowed in lounge/bar areas at restaurants throughout the Resort. What I do know is that right now, Space 220 Restaurant is an extremely busy place. While you maybe could get in to have a bite to eat with children at the lounge area, I know that the restaurant was at capacity over the weekend and was only allowing guests ages 18 and over in the bar area. That is because the lounge was full.

To be completely honest, I don’t want you to wait in a line in front of the restaurant to then be turned away because lounge seating is unavailable. I highly suggest refreshing your My Disney Experience app to see if you can reserve a table for lunch or dinner. Vacation time is limited, and I want you to enjoy your time with your family! There are so many instances when reservations do become available as guests change their plans and cancel reservations. There’s always a chance!

Jennifer, I hope I’ve been helpful. Remember that you can always come back to see us if you have any more planning questions. It’s our pleasure to help you!

    Have a magical visit!
