I have 2 children 10 and 8. My 10 year old is considered an adult on the dining plan, but is a very light eater. Would the dining plan benefit us? We plan on at least 2 character meals and the luau! Thanks, Susan

    Hi Susan,

I also have a very light eater so I was concerned about the dining plan.  However, if your eight year old is a bigger eater, he or she could use the adult meal instead of the 10 year old.

I would still recommend the Basic Dining Plan for you.  The current price of the child's meal plan is a good deal to feed a child for the day.

If you want to check for yourself, list all of the table service meals you are going to be eating.  Then check Allearsnet.com for the prices of meals at those restaurants.  Next, add the price of a snack each day of your stay and figure about $7 for counter service meals each day.  Remember the Spirit of Aloha counts as two table service meals.

If you add those meals and come out way under the price of the dining package, I would not get the package.  However, if you are close, go for the dining plan.

    I hope this helps.
