My children are 6 and 3. I was wondering if I purchased 2 day tickets do the two days need to be consecutive. I was hoping to visit Magic Kingdom one day, skip a day and hang out at Downton Disney. Then visit MK the next day. Can this be done?

Absolutely. With a multi-day ticket, you have 14 days from the date of first use in which to use your park admissions. So you are certainly able to skip one day in between your visits to the Magic Kingdom. Downtown Disney a great place to shop, eat, and play. Have a wonderful time there!
