My 4 children an I will be visiting wdw for the 1st time this june 2012. Ages are 24..17..13..an 11. Were lodging at the port orleans riverside. Can we bring a small microwave to save on eating out. I no we will have a fridge to store cold food. Thanks.

Hi Beatrice, You are not allowed to bring a microwave to Port Orleans, this would be against the resort's fire codes. There are, however, several microwave ovens available for guest use in the food court area of the hotel. You would be welcome to use those as often as you like. There are rooms at Disney that include cooking facilities. If this is important to you, you may want to consider moving to a Family Suite at the All Star Music or Art of Animation resorts. These accommodations include two rooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchenette with microwave. They are not much more expensive than Port Orleans and your family many find the additional bathroom more convenient. Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if we can provide additional assistance.
