Are children required to wear a lift jacket at the pools?

    Welcome to planDisney, Susan!

Thanks for swimming by with your question for us.

It’s time to shell-abrate because you’ve planned a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! You’re going to love staying at a Disney Resort hotel; with imaginative theming, ease of transportation to and from the theme parks, and Early Theme Park Entry for Guests, it all feels so magical!

Summertime means more pool time! Yay! Although life vests are not mandatory, I’m happy to tell you that you’ll find Disney Resort hotels offer Guests complimentary life jackets in adult sizes and child sizes in case anyone in your party requires them.

Susan, if you’re like me and enjoy spending time at the pool after you’ve checked out, it’s totally manageable! You’ll find most of the larger pools at Disney Resort hotels offer private indoor showers for Guests who have checked out of their rooms, or their rooms may need more time to be prepared on arrival day. The showers come stocked with towels, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. I recommend scouting one out beforehand, just to be sure. You can also ask a friendly Cast Member at the front desk of your Resort!

Wishing you an enchanting visit, Susan!
