Hello! 2 of the children in our party are allergic to milk, soy, wheat, egg, nuts and fish. Are there particular restaurants that are better for accommodating allergies? We wanted to try Chef Mickey -- but a buffet might be tough.

    Hi Brooke,

For years, we have wanted to bring our nephew to Walt Disney World on vacation. He has allergies to nuts, dairy and eggs and his parents were concerned. When we vacationed with them at Christmas two years ago, they were amazed how awesome Disney was with accommodating his needs. We dined at a special buffet and the chef made him items not served to the other guests. Even the counter service restaurants addressed his needs.

You will want to note that you have food allergies in your Advance Dining Reservations. This allows the chef to come out and chat with guest who has the allergies. The chef will suggest items for guest to enjoy. For counter service, alert the cast member taking your order that you have food allergies and they will have a specially trained cast member assist you.

Finally, you may want to reach out the team at Special Diets at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com who can assist you will additional questions. Allow at least 14 days prior to arrivals to ask your questions.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
