My children are 5 and 2, and I'm wondering if it would be appropriate to take them to the Sci Fi Diner at Hollywood Studios for dinner. My concern is that the movie clips that are shown might be scary or graphic.

I have taken my girls to the Sci-Fi Diner many times. The place is filled with children of all ages, including preschoolers. It really is a venue for the whole family. The movie clips they show are not graphic in any way. All the clips are either old animated cartoons or classic clips from the 1950s and 1960s, mostly in black and white. No one is killed, there is not blood, no horrible mutations or anything like that. Really they are campy and silly. I supposed it is possible that a small child could be mildly frightened by one or two of the clips where there is a robot on the screen that he was unfamiliar with. As a benchmark, I have one daughter who is afraid of everything. We had to leave the movie theater when we took her to both Finding Nemo and The Incredibles because she was too afraid. She is absolutely fine at the Sci-Fi Diner.
