Do the children dress up in disney character costumes? If so what ages? I have pre-teens and would like to know if they also dress up. Thank you.

    Ahoy, Evelyn!
It is wonderful to hEAR from you again! Dressing up is quite popular aboard Disney Cruise Line with the younger princes and princesses! There is not a set age cutoff for younger Guests wishing to dress up. But, when I contacted Disney Cruise Line, they recommended Guests over the age of 13 not dress up unless it is for Pirate Night, Halloween festivities or the Star Wars Day at Sea (all available on select sailings). You can also double check with Guest Services once you are aboard for current polices. The Disney Magic, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy all offer magical makeovers at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for ages 3-12. Several of the services do offer a costume that can be worn on the ship. Your pre-teens might enjoy being treated like royalty during this fairy tale experience!
Some young sailors will wear their dress up to meet their favorite Disney Characters like for the Princess Gathering or to dinner, but any occasion is ok! Guests of all ages will don their pirate attire for all the swashbuckling fun on Pirate Night! Bandanas are given out to all Guests and pirate attire and accessories will be available for sale at the shops onboard.
Thank you for continuing to use the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Evelyn! Please let us know if you think of anything else!
    Have a magical day!
