Hi Chelsea! Welcome to planDisney! Ooh la la…it sounds like you’re planning an amazing trip!
Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera at
Disney’s Riviera Resort is truly one of my favorite spots on Disney property. The whole resort is inspired by Walt Disney’s travels through Europe, especially the French and Italian Rivieras, and you’ll even find pictures of his adventures sprinkled throughout the resort. It has such a peaceful, elegant feel, and Topolino’s Terrace captures that perfectly with both its atmosphere and its food!
Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends at Topolino’s is definitely kid-friendly, but it’s a little different from what you might have experienced at
Chef Mickey’s. At Chef Mickey’s, there’s often an open space where kids can get up and dance along with the characters. At Topolino’s, the experience is a bit more refined and relaxed. While you’ll still see Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy mingling, posing for photos, and even dancing around the restaurant during a special song (which usually happens about every 30 minutes), there isn’t an official “come dance with the characters” moment like there is at Chef Mickey’s.
That said, the characters do move around to the music, and in my experience, it never felt like a child who danced along would be discouraged; it’s just a much calmer, more intimate setting overall. So while it’s not quite the same as the high-energy party vibe at Chef Mickey’s, it’s still so magical and special in its own way! And don’t forget after you finish your meal to head out to the terrace just past the dining room! It’s a beautiful spot for little ones to get some wiggles out, and you’ll have a great view of the grounds and the
Disney Skyliner gliding by.
As for the food…you’re in for a treat! My favorite entrée is the Wood-fired Steak and Eggs. The steak was tender and flavorful, served over creamy polenta. It’s a must-try if you love hearty, savory breakfasts! My close second would be the Quiche Gruyère, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. For kids, the Mickey Waffle Dippers are always a big hit. They’re served on a painter’s palette plate with chocolate, maple, and strawberry sauces for dipping. So cute!
Chelsea, I hope you and your family love Topolino’s Terrace just as much as I do. Wishing you the most magical trip!
See ya real soon,
Eean
