Hi Chris,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! As a mom of four children myself, I am so happy to assist you with this question. When we first visited
Walt Disney World Resort with my 18-month-old twins, my son was 4 and my daughter was 7. We found that several attractions accommodated 3 Guests in each ride vehicle; whereas, many others would accommodate our entire family such as "it's a small world." On attractions that only accommodated 2 Guests, my husband and I would each sit with a twin while our 4 and 7-year-old rode together. Our strategy was always to have a parent in the first and last ride vehicle with the 4 and 7-year-old riding in the middle, so that one parent made sure they boarded with no problems and the other parent greeted them at the exit. My husband and I found that 1 adult and two young children did easily fit in most of the ride vehicles that were for Guests of any height. With that being said, it has been our experience that one parent can accompany more than one child under the age of 7.
You will find some attractions have a minimum height requirement. Be sure to ask a Cast Member at the entrance of each attraction that does require a minimum height requirement for a
rider switch or rider swap. Follow the link provided to learn more about this helpful service I used many times when my children were younger.
I hope this information has been helpful to you. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to visit us again. Best wishes for a magical trip, Chris!
Happy Planning,
Jodie
