Hi Diane,
Wow! You will be driving underneath the magical arch that welcomes you to Walt Disney World Resort in no time! Our family has this funny little tradition where we roll down the windows and yell out, "We're at Disney Worrrrlllld" as we pass. It was hilarious to preschoolers. My teenagers humor me. I'll take it!
I double-checked to be sure, and it looks like electric scooters are prohibited for Guests of all ages at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. In order to keep the roads and paths safe for all Guests, there are a few other restricted vehicles listed in the
Rules & Regulations. That said, your family can feel free to
rent bicycles (and helmets!) from the Bike Barn to make moving around the Campground a little easier.
While you are exploring, you might want to stop by for Crockett's Craft Corner Wood and Wine Workshop at Pioneer Hall, scheduled for Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m. ET. Here, you can create a semi-custom wooden sign to take away as the perfect souvenir! Since snacks are the best part of crafting, enjoy a meat and cheese platter, unlimited soda, and one included alcoholic beverage per participant (who is over 21, of course.) What an unforgettable experience!
Of course, there are plenty of other
exciting activities at this Walt Disney World Campground that you simply won't find anywhere else. (
Archery, anyone?) Check them out.
I hope that was helpful, Diane. Please come on back and let us know what other questions you might have as you get ready to head down to sunny Central Florida for a fantastic family vacation. We love to help.
Adventure is out there,
Sally
