    My child is in a wheelchair and I'd like to know how the park accommodates wheelchair children.

    Hi, Debra!  Whatever type of accommodations your child may need, Walt Disney World tries to make.  The theaters are all equipped with sections that will accommodate wheelchairs, and there are vehicles on some rides that are fitted specifically to hold a wheelchair.  There are sections reserved in the park during fireworks and parades that provide viewing that won't be obstructed by people standing in your way.

    You will likely be brought in through an alternate queue, and your child can be accompanied by a party of up to six guests, so your family can stay together.  There may also be places to wait away from the crowd for various attractions.

    If there are specific accommodations that you think would help make your child's vacation a little more magical, you can certainly suggest them.  If it's something unusual, you can stop in at Guest Services and inquire about the Guest Assistance Card.  The card is something you can present at the attractions that can address issues that might not be immediately recognizable.
