My child is terrified of fireworks. Are there any fireworks associated with the Electrical Parade? If we watch can we make it out of the park and be far enough away before Wishes starts? Are there any other celebrations I should be sure to miss?

Hi, Darla!  There are no fireworks associated with the parade, so you're safe in that regard.  Timing is going to be crucial, though, if you want to be out of the park before Wishes begins.  I would recommend that you watch the parade from the end of Main Street, right where you come in.  That way, as soon as the last float goes by, you can turn around and head right out.

The fireworks can be seen - and heard - from quite a distance, so you may still be able to hear them as you make your way to transportation out of the theme park.  The only real way to avoid that is to head out even before the parade, so you can be a safe distance away.

If it's the sound that is the offender with the fireworks, I'd avoid things like Fantasmic!, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, and maybe even Philharmagic.  Some attractions indicate that they are dark or have loud noises, so check signs when you enter an attraction.

If the sound is what bothers your child, I want to recommend the Peltor Junior Earmuffs.  You can find them online, and they really go a long way to deaden loud noises.  I have a friend who doesn't go anywhere without them for her son.

    Have a wonderful vacation!
