Ahoy Johanna!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You are only three short days away from your high seas adventure on
Disney Cruise Line! I am thrilled to hear you will be sailing away soon.
As a mom, one of my fears as we approach vacation time is the bugs that my pirates-in-training may pick up before we leave. No guest wants to spend their time onboard feeling ill, especially after all the days you've had to wait until your time with Captain Mickey!
Per the
Disney Cruise Line Terms and Conditions, any guest who may be suffering from a contagious or infectious illness or is in ill health can be denied boarding if they could potentially be detrimental to the comfort and safety of all guests and crew onboard. While on a cruise ship, illnesses can spread quickly and Disney Cruise Line focuses on the health and safety of everyone onboard. A great example of how they prevent the spread of illnesses is the wipes they hand out to each guest to clean your hands before you enter the dining room. They are committed to a clean ship!
Once onboard, if your child experiences any illness the
Health Center (Deck 1, Forward) is available to assist guests as needed. They can provide over the counter remedies for quick relief of minor ailments as well as minor first aid and bandages.
I would recommend if you have concerns about your child's illness and if it is safe for them to travel with a cold, that you reach out to your physician before sailing.
I hope they are feeling 100% soon and everyone enjoys making memories next week! Bon voyage! Angie
