    My child has severe asthma and can not stay anywhere that allows pets in the same buildings we will enter. What are my options for places to stay that DO NOT allow pets at all?

    Hello Hayden!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I am happy to help you out today.  My youngest son has a severe allergy to cats and has his asthma flairs up when we are around one, so I can understand your concern.  I am happy to help give you some tips today.

    Disney is welcoming to all Guests even those needing the support of a service animal.   Service animals are welcome to come to the Theme Parks with their Guests and stay in their Disney Resort hotel room.   I can't promise you a room where a service animal has never been.   Disney also has 4 Dog- Friendly Disney Resort Hotels where Guests can stay with their pups.   These Resorts include Disney's Art of Animation Resort,  Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside, Disney's Yacht Club Resort and The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort.  Only certain floors or sections of these Resorts are dog friendly while the majority of the areas remain canine-free to protect Guests with allergies.  If you are looking to avoid dogs I would look at booking a different Resort than one that is pet-friendly.  

    Hayden you will want to call Walt Disney Resort Reservations  at (407) 939- 1936 once you book a room to let them know that a member in your travel party has a severe pet allergy.    This will allow the room assigners to place you away from a pet area and have an extra deep cleaning on your room before you arrive.   My son has never had a problem at Disney and I hope your child won't either.   If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to send them our way.  Lending a helping hand is what we enjoy most.
