Hi, Karl! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Every parent has experienced that moment of panic when you notice your child has wandered out of sight. Even though Walt Disney World is The Most Magical Place on Earth, these things do happen. I saw a frantic mom desperately searching for her little girl in Magic Kingdom Park just the other day before they were happily reunited. Let's talk about some tips to ensure you and your Mouseketeers have a magical trip!
Walt Disney World Resort does not have child safety tags, but these are popular items that are readily available on sites like Amazon and Etsy (and many of them can be ordered with a Disney theme). My Disney Moms Panel friend,
Brandy, has ordered personalized "Temporary Tattoos" from SafetyTat for her daughters, and she includes her cell number in case they get separated. Another option would be to write your contact information on the inside of your child's
MagicBand with a Sharpie.
I'd also recommend that when you first enter the Park, walk up to a Cast Member and show your child their Walt Disney World name tag, so they know who to look for if you get separated. Also, tell your child to go to an attraction or into a store where there is sure to be a bona fide Cast Member. Parents should always go to the nearest Cast Member or the nearest
Baby Care Center to
report a lost child. It's also helpful to take daily full-length photos of your child, so you have an accurate description of what they're wearing every day.
I hope this helps, Karl! Feel free to ask any more follow up questions, and have a fantastic time with Mickey in a few weeks!
