Ahoy, Jason! Thanks so much for cruising by with your question. We're so happy to help!
Your
Disney Cruise Line adventure is just a few weeks away, and how exciting to take your little one onboard one of the most beautiful
cruise ships at sea. The
Disney Wonder has a lot to offer, and I hope your family has an amazing time discovering the magic onboard.
Children under the age of 15 are
required to have identification in the form of a passport OR a birth certificate. No photo ID or other proof of ID is required. The birth certificate has to be the original, government-issued one - not the one the hospital provides. Copies of birth certificates can be obtained from the local government where the birth was registered. It does need to be an official copy, not just a photocopy.
This documentation requirement only applies to what is called a closed-loop cruise - one that begins and ends in a US port. If you decide in the future to take another cruising adventure, you'll want to make sure you are following the regulations of that particular sailing.
If you haven't looked into it yet, your ship has the
"it's a small world" nursery onboard. This whimsical little nursery provides child care for children under the age of 3 for a nominal fee. You can go enjoy a
spa treatment or dinner at
Palo knowing that your little one is in qualified, caring hands.
I hope your family has the most WONDERful cruise experience, Jason!
