I have a child on the medical ketogenic diet. We will be celebrating her 10th birthday. Are there any options for Disney hotels that have a kitchen or kitchenette with a fridge? Her diet is very restrictive.

Welcome to planDisney, Heather! I can’t think of a better place than the Walt Disney World Resort, to celebrate your 10-year-old’s birthday! You’re all going to have a wonderful time!

You have lots of options, in a few different price points, when it comes to finding a kitchenette set up or a full kitchen, during your stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. My family ends up having breakfast at our hotel room every morning and I do cook a little bit on vacation. It’s always good to have some basics and healthy snacks waiting for you at your hotel, too!

For options with a kitchenette style set up, Family Suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s All-Star Music Resort will include a full-sized refrigerator, microwave and a coffee maker. These resorts are in the “Value” category, but there are some options at Disney’s Riviera Resort and at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, if you’re looking for a deluxe resort stay.

The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is a moderate resort and always my family’s first choice when booking a place to stay. We even bring our dogs! In the cabin, you will find a complete kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, dish washer, convection microwave and stove top.

Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts that offer one-bedroom options, or larger, will offer up villas with fully stocked kitchens. Some will even include a washer and dryer. It's really nice to come home with a suitcase full of clean clothes! I try to do a load or two on a Resort day.

Heather, I hope I’ve given you a few options to consider. Feel free to come back to see us if you have any more questions. It’s always our pleasure to help you with all the details of your next magical vacation!
