Hi there, Najeania! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney. I'm so glad you brought us this excellent question, and I'm delighted to help supply the information you're looking for.
My princesses are a little too old for the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique these days, but they absolutely loved receiving a royal makeover from one of the Fairy Godmother’s apprentices when they were in their peak Disney Princess era! This really is such a special experience at
Walt Disney World Resort and one that I highly recommend doing at least once.
Najeania, your princess may arrive for her royal appointment at Cinderella Castle with her hair already styled. The apprentice working with the little one can accommodate something simple like a tiara and a sprinkle of pixie dust for a child who doesn't wish to have one of the Boutique styles but has paid for a package. However, given the cost of the packages, it might not be the best use of your money as the hairdo is what most of the time in an appointment is spent on.
If your daughter is willing to give the apprentices a chance, they are very skilled in working with all types of hair and kids with sensitive scalps or sensory issues. But if she prefers to come with her hair done, that's fine too! Princess makeovers also include some light makeup and a manicure--she is sure to feel very fancy when it's time for the big reveal! One thing I particularly love about the BBB is that Disney PhotoPass photographers are stationed around the salon to capture some beautiful photos of the occasion--you will treasure them!
Post-Boutique, your newly-minted princess may want to mingle with other royalty. Just across the way is Princess Fairytale Hall, where
Tiana,
Cinderella, and some other princess pals greet Guests. This is another great photo opportunity!
All of that princessing may work up an appetite, don't you think? I highly recommend making an advance dining reservation at
Cinderella's Royal Table, where you can enjoy a delicious Table Service meal while enjoying the view from the castle. A rotating cast of princesses visit every table throughout your meal and it's a lot of fun for the entire family. Although you may not see many reservations available currently as you're getting close to your arrival date, keep checking back as your trip comes closer--Guests' plans will change and often a prime time slot will open up.
One final tip--if you opt for a sparkly princess gown at the Boutique, I recommend having a change of clothes along. I know when our girls tackled the parks in costume, they inevitably got hot and it was good to have a sundress or shorts available!
I hope you and your family have the most magical family vacation next month, Najeania--nothing but blue skies and sunshine! Please don't hesitate to reach out again if we can help with any other questions to add a little extra pixie dust to your travels. Thanks again for visiting planDisney!
See Ya Real Soon!
