Hi Nirmala! I think you'll find that the restaurants at Walt Disney World are more
accommodating of food allergies than anywhere else you'll
visit! Disney has a department dedicated to assisting guests with food allergies and
intolerances. Click
HERE for more information on special
diets at Disney.
When you make your dining reservations, make sure you
have the castmember note your child's allergies on the reservation. Also, I
recommend that you contact the Special Diets department at least two
weeks before your trip. You can reach them at 407-824-5967 or by emailing
SpecialDiets@DisneyWorld.com.
This department will send you a form to complete about your child's allergy
and the restaurants in which you plan to dine. They will then make sure that
each table service restaurant has the information about the allergy. When you
arrive at each restaurant, you should also ask to speak with a chef who can tell
you which items on the menu or buffet are safe for your child and who can make sure your child's meal is prepared separately to prevent cross-contamination. The Special Diets department can also provide you with ingredient information
for the foods at the quick-service restaurants.
Hope you have a wonderful time! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel
if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
