Hi there, Myrlene!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for coming to us with your question! Do you have a visit to the Disneyland Resort coming up soon? It's a great time to visit. I just recently returned from witnessing the kickoff of the
Disney100 Celebration and it is a sight to behold! There's so much happening this year.
Disneyland Resort
Theme Park Tickets are sold according to three age categories. Children ages three and under are free of charge and do not require a ticket. A child between the ages of 3-9 will require a child's admission ticket and everyone 10+ will require an adult ticket. Once activated, only that particular individual may use that ticket. To answer your question, yes, a child may use an adult ticket for admission to the Theme Parks. Be aware that you would not be able to recover the difference in cost between a child's and an adult ticket, however.
I still remember my daughter's first visit to the
Disneyland Resort when she was two and a half years old. It's so magical to see the Parks through their eyes and re-discover that sense of wonder and whimsy that made you fall in love with Disney in the first place!
Fun Fact: In 1955, an adult ticket to Disneyland cost $2.50, a junior was $2.00, and a child's ticket was $1.50. The
ticket book included coupons to experience eight attractions.
I hope that you found this information useful, Myrlene, and that you can visit the Disneyland Resort this year. Please feel free to come by and visit us again here at planDisney. We're here to help!
Have a Magical Day!
