Is there a way for my child to call her favorite character and “talk” to them on the phone?

Hi, Megan! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks so much for stopping by with your question! I remember several years ago, I was able to schedule a phone call for my daughters from a Disney character. They had been doing well during school, so it was the perfect way to congratulate them! However, the characters have been so busy lately with Mickey and Minnie's Surprise Celebration that they are unable to make lots of daily phone calls.

I know of a few ways your child can still chat with her favorite Disney friends. My favorite of them is one that is made possible during your Walt Disney World Resort stay. While in your Resort room, press the Front Desk button on your room's phone to speak with a Cast Member about setting up a call. These can usually be scheduled, so be sure to have your child nearby at that time!

If you are an Amazon Free-Time Unlimited member, then look for the Disney Junior Magic Phone app. This app allows children to make a video call with select Disney Junior characters.

If you plan to sail with Disney Cruise Line soon, complimentary character phone calls are available before your sailing. This can be set up online on the Disney Cruise Line website. Under the My Reservations tab, look for the Free Character Call header and select Request Call.

I hope this information helps you plan a pixie-dusted moment with your child! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
