My child is allergic to wheat, soy, milk, nuts, seafood, legumes and eggs. I’d like to plan eating options for our upcoming trip. Is there someone who can help us find safe eating options for her?

Welcome to planDisney, Ebony! I'm always glad to answer a question from a fellow Texan. Walt Disney World Resort is a vacation destination favored by families with allergy concerns because so much care is put into planning menu options for people with special dietary requests. Your daughter will have some great dining options on your upcoming trip, and I'm happy to help you get the ball rolling to ensure you're prepared and ready with options!

Ebony, since your daughter has more than four allergy concerns, you should reach out to Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com no sooner than 14 days before your arrival to discuss your family's needs. The Special Diets team will assist you in navigating the dining process, which may include providing the restaurants you intend to visit with your information and requests in advance of your visit. When you arrive at a restaurant, the Cast Member checking you in will ask if there are any allergies in your party, and you can take this opportunity to remind them about your daughter's needs. You can also request that a chef come to your table to discuss your menu options to ensure that your daughter gets a meal that is not only safe but also something that she's looking forward to eating.

You can also use the online menus to plan ahead! Most table-service and select quick-service restaurants have allergy-friendly menu options listed within their online menus, based on common food allergens. Many other allergy-friendly requests can be accommodated upon request, so you'll always be able to find a safe and delicious option when you're enjoying a day at the Theme Parks. If you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for, please ask to speak with a special diets-trained Cast Member at the dining location, and they will be happy to help!

I hope this answers your question, Ebony, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
