Hi Allison.
It's great to hear from you. There are a number of amazing and unique resorts classified as
Magic Kingdom resorts including the Polynesian, Contemporary and Grand Floridian. All three are deluxe resorts and are conveniently attached to the monorail which will take you to Magic Kingdom, the Ticket and Transportation Center and Epcot, typically the rate for these locations are at the higher price range.
The Wilderness Lodge is located just a quick boat ride from Magic Kingdom. Although it is still within the deluxe category, the average nightly rate is often slightly lower than the first three choices since it is not a monorail property. If a member of your party is active or retired military, the Shades of Green resort is currently running great deals as part of the
Armed Forces Salute.
If you are not able to take advantage of the military resort, the most economical choice near Magic Kingdom is Fort Wilderness. The property offers campsites, for tents and RVs, at very reasonable rates. If you are not a camper, there are a number of very comfortable cabins also available for rent at great prices. The cabins can sleep up to six and feature a small kitchenette area. Fort Wilderness is just a quick boat ride from Magic Kingdom and also offers a number of activities like archery, fishing, horseback riding and more.
If one of these properties does not work into budget, just remember that Disney also offers a number of resort choices at the
value level which are just a short bus ride away from the Magic Kingdom park. Happy planning!
