We have Chef Mickey’s breakfast reserved for 7:40 AM. We are going to go straight to Magic Kingdom after breakfast. What would be the best place to park prior to Chef Mickey’s?

Oh, boy! Welcome to planDisney, Brooke, and get ready for some magic at Walt Disney World Resort. Your visit is as close as a stack of Mickey waffles, so let's look at parking and transportation options to make your day worthy of the leader of the club.

Guests with dining reservations at a Disney Resort Hotel can park at that hotel during their meal by providing their name and dining confirmation. However, you must move your vehicle if you plan to stay longer than two to three hours. Since your reservation is pretty early, one option is to park at Disney's Contemporary Resort and enjoy breakfast. Take photos with the characters, and be sure to hang out with Chef Minnie afterward for a unique photo opportunity.

After your meal, your family can hop back in the car and head to Magic Kingdom parking at the  Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). From there, you can take the monorail or ferryboat to the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park. This is shaping up to be a truly magical day!

Another option is to go straight to the TTC and take the Resort Monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort for breakfast. The monorail station is actually inside the resort. Talk about dropping you off at the door! Please allow at least 45 minutes to arrive at Chef Mickey's, so this option will entail setting your alarm a bit earlier. After breakfast, jump on the monorail for a quick and easy ride to the Magic Kingdom Park entrance. At the end of the day, you can take the ferryboat or monorail back to your car at the TTC.

Regarding parking, I just discovered the most fantastic feature in the My Disney Experience mobile app: Car Locator. When parked, open your mobile app and tap the three lines in the lower right corner. Scroll down to the bottom and tap Car Locator. The app will use your general location to let you know what section you've parked in, and you can choose the specific row. Tap Confirm and Save at the bottom; when you leave at night's end, the app can remind you exactly where you left your car.

Brooke, I hope I've given you some parking and transportation options for your upcoming visit. I know Mickey can't wait to see ya real soon! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
