Chef Mickey is completely booked for our visit. Is it possible to walk up and stand it in line for it?

    Jambo, Jami.

Welcome to planDisney! Oh boy, your vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth is just around the corner. I bet you can’t wait to partake in all of the EARidescent festivities of the 50th Anniversary Celebration and the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Are you counting down the days yet? I know I would be!

I’m sorry to hear you weren’t able to book a dining reservation at Chef Mickey’s. Don’t give up hope quite yet though! Plans change all the time, so there’s a good chance a reservation could open up before you arrive. I suggest you check for dining reservations at Chef Mickey’s in your My Disney Experience Mobile App daily leading up to your vacation and even once you are on property. Be sure to scroll through and select every single time option on the "Search By Time" feature. Sometimes reservations will pop up that weren't there initially. I’ve had great luck finding reservations doing this at some of the most sought-after restaurants, like ‘Ohana and California Grill, in the past. I hope it works for you!

If you are ultimately unsuccessful in your pursuit of booking a reservation at Chef Mickey’s, you can try utilizing the Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability feature in your My Disney Experience Mobile App during your vacation. This feature allows you to join the same-day walk-up list at select restaurants on property (subject to availability). To give it a shot, go to "Check Dining Availability" in your mobile app, input your party size, and select the current date. You should see a time slot option that says "Now" under "Search by Time.” If you click on it, you will see restaurants on property with current walk-up dining availability. Of course, you always have the option of going to Chef Mickey's in person to ask about availability if all else fails.

Have you heard about Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, Jami? It’s the easiest way to order meals from Quick-Service Dining locations. To place a mobile food order, just click the plus sign at the bottom of the screen and select “Order Food.” Choose your pickup time and follow through the remaining steps to place your order. Then, head over to the restaurant to pick up your food. It’s so convenient!

Jami, I’m crossing my fingers in the hopes you are able to secure a reservation at Chef Mickey’s. Good luck, and let me know if you have more questions.

    See ya real soon,
    Alyssa
