I am checking into Kadani from Sunday - Thursday and checking into a value resort until Saturday. Am I able to purchase the dining plan for the whole week through DVC or just until Thursday. If I don't use the dining plan on Sunday, do I still have 4 day

    Hi MaryAnn!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you have an exciting trip planned. A split stay is a great way to enjoy the different amenities available at different Walt Disney World Resort hotels. If you’ll be using the Disney Dining Plan as well, you’ll get to enjoy even more magic!

Since you have two separate reservation numbers, you’ll need to book two separate Disney Dining Plans. To my knowledge you’ll need to book your Disney Dining Plan for your stay at the Value Resort through the Central Reservation Office, and the Disney Vacation Club portion of your stay through Member Services. Your Disney Dining Plan credits begin on your day of check-in and are good through midnight on the night you check-out of that particular reservation. If you begin your Disney Vacation Club stay on Sunday and check out on Thursday, you can use any of your credits on any of those days. If you choose not to use any credits on Sunday, you may use them Monday through Thursday, but they will expire at midnight on Thursday and you would not be able to use them during the second part of your vacation.

If you’d like to book the Disney Dining Plan with your Value Resort stay, you’ll need to speak to a Cast Member at the Central Reservations Office as this type of arrangement cannot be done online. I hope this is helpful, MaryAnn! Let us know what other questions we can help you with as you plan your magical vacation!
