I am checking out of a deluxe resort on a day when there are extended evening theme park hours. I am checking into a moderate resort that evening. Can I still take part in the extended evening hours since it will be checkout day for a deluxe resort?

Hi there, John! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!

It sounds like you've planned for a practically perfect split-stay during your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!  Staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel always adds to the magic of the trip but being able to experience two exquisitely themed resorts in the same vacation is just a dream.  Not only will you be staying right IN the magic, but you'll also get all the perks that come with being such a treasured Guest!  Beyond Extended Evening Theme Park Hours, you'll also be able to enter any of the four Theme Parks 30 minutes before opening every day of your trip!

As much as I love "rope-dropping" and hitting the parks early, there is something special about nighttime in Walt Disney World.  Big Thunder Mountain Railroad just hits differently when you round a bend and see fireworks exploding overhead, and I love quietly strolling through World Showcase after Harmonious ends.  The nighttime spectacular may be over, but the lights keep on twinkling! These are experiences that you won't find anywhere else!

I've checked in with some friendly Cast Members and found out that you are still eligible for Extended Evening Theme Park Hours even on the day you check-out from your Deluxe Resort!  This is wonderful news, as long as there are Extended Evening hours on that day. It sounds like you've already done your "homework" and can look forward to enjoying those extra two hours of excitement. Currently, the Extended Evening Theme Park Hours calendar gives dates through April 13, 2022, but these are subject to change.  Make sure to check again right before your trip!

Also, just a friendly reminder that you and your party will need Park Pass Reservations to the park with Extended Evening Hours or a Park Hopper Option ticket to ride, play and dine your way through an extra two hours of fun! I'm certainly not a night owl, but there is no bedtime rule for me OR my kids in Walt Disney World and I'm happy to stay up a little bit later than usual to enjoy more magic with fewer crowds and fewer lines!

Come back and see us again if you have any other questions, John.  I hope you plan on staying up late and enjoying all that the Walt Disney World Resort has to offer!

Meet the Panelist: Ashley, Massachusetts

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
