    We are checking in on my birthday and would like a special place to go for dinner not too far from Cornando Springs. Characters would be nice but not needed. We'll be checking in around 6:30-7 and get there about 8

    Hi Timothy! Sounds like a perfect way to celebrate your birthday! I recommend hopping on a bus and heading straight to Downtown Disney. It's our first day tradition when we arrive late in the day, and totally gets us in the Disney mood! The bus ride will take you about 15 minutes from your resort and there you'll have so many dining options. Restaurants and shops are open late, so there's lots of time for you to enjoy a full evening.

    There's a Rainforest Cafe, T-Rex Cafe and Planet Hollywood which the kids love. My daughter's favourite is Raglan Road Pub, as they have a great kids menu, live entertainment including Irish dancers. And the very best bread pudding ever. Wolfgang Puck Express is another fantastic choice. It's a quick service choice if you're on the Disney Dining Plan, but everything is made to order and sooo good.
