On our check-in day would it possible to leave our camping trailer parked in the over flow parking lot at Ft Wilderness without our tow vehicle, so we can drive to the park, before we are able to check-in at our RV site?

Hi Corie and welcome to planDisney! In just about a month, you will be enjoying a magical visit at the Walt Disney World Resort! I’m so excited for you and I’m happy to help!

The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is always my family’s first choice when we start planning our vacation. I’ve brought a trailer for my golf cart many times and always park it in the lot at the entrance of the resort. I’ve also noticed many guests doing just what you have described with their travel trailer, right before they check in.

You can absolutely do so, just visit the Front Desk to let the Cast Member know you will be leaving the trailer in the lot temporarily. You may also be pleasantly surprised. Your site may be available earlier, so you might even be able to leave it at the site. Cast Members at the Fort are always so friendly! They will be happy to help you!

Corie, my family always looks forward to the Electrical Water Pageant during our stays at the campsites. You can see the twinkling lights at the dock of your resort, right around 9 p.m. every night, weather permitting.

I hope this information is helpful to you. Don’t hesitate to come back to see us if you have any more planning questions. For more planning tips, take a look at our Panel Extras. We love sharing our advice with you!

    Have a magical visit!
