Christine, if your
MagicBand+ is already linked to your My Disney Experience account, you should be able to tap into the Resort as long as you are checked in. You can do that before you arrive on your My Disney Experience account. Sometimes, on your first visit, a security guard will greet you, double-check your name on the reservations list, and ask for a photo ID. I recommend having it handy just in case. Additionally, even if your MagicBand+ is linked to your account, sometimes the pixie dust gets disconnected, and it doesn't work the first time you tap it. But that is an easy fix at the Front Desk of your Resort. I always recommend charging your MagicBand+ each night to be sure it has all of its magic for the next day.
