We check out of the Polynesian on Sunday morning but our flight isn’t until 7:30pm. We had planned to use the pool and amenities during the day, are there any accommodations available for changing/showering with children before heading to the airport?

Hi Rebecca, and welcome to planDisney! I love taking a late flight home to really make the most of my last Disney day. And there’s no better place to relax than amid the tropical vibes at the Polynesian Resort!

I’m happy to share that there are bathrooms with showers near the Lava Pool (outside the Great Ceremonial House) and the Cove Pool (at the Island Tower). Now you can spend the day enjoying a DOLE Whip from Pineapple Lanai (I’m partial to the Float version!) and splashing around the pool, before cleaning up and heading to the airport.

Since you’ll have almost a full day at the Polynesian Resort, be sure to check out the activity schedule, which is usually posted in the lobby. You can also get an early look at it on the Polynesian Resort recreation page. There are so many fun activities, like making your own kukui nut leis, taking a tai chi class, and playing games and dancing at the daily Lava Pool Party!

If you’re looking for a change of scenery, my family loves to ride the monorail and explore the different resort hotels on days we’re not going to the theme parks. We’ll usually poke around the gift shops and grab a snack. And, if you purchased a resort refillable mug, you can use it at the quick service eateries at the other Disney resort hotels during your adventure!

I hope you have a magical time at Disney World this week! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome at planDisney.
