Hi there, Jane,
Thanks for stopping by with a question for us today. I'm glad to assist!
Walt Disney World Resort is committed to providing an inclusive environment for guests of all abilities, and there are
several options for accessing attraction queues. Guests with
mobility concerns can
rent wheelchairs and ECVs on-site for a fee, but guests are also welcome to bring mobility devices from home as long as they meet certain guidelines. I checked the
property rules and it appears that devices with at least three wheels are permitted as long as they do not exceed 36" (92 cm) in width and 52" (132 cm) in length. Devices must be for a single rider and must also be able to maintain stability when stopped, powered off, and/or unoccupied.
I wasn't able to confirm the exact dimensions of the TopMate ES 35 when fully opened, so I recommend checking the dimensions of your device to ensure that it meets the size requirements. I also want to mention that it is ultimately up to the discretion of Cast Members at the park entrance to approve your device. I spoke with two different Cast Members while researching this information and neither indicated requirements beyond what was stated in the property rules, yet my
fellow panelist Betsy shared different information regarding electric tricycles with another guest earlier this year. I recommend reaching out to Disability Services at disability.services@disneyparks.com to clarify your device specs prior to your visit.
Jane, I'm sorry I couldn't offer more clear guidance today, but I'm hopeful you will find the right solution for accessibility on your next visit. In the meantime, please come back and see us again with additional planning questions.
Magic and memories,
Amy
