If we check in after midnight on the first day of our stay will we still have our dining credits for that day?

Hi, Sandra! You will not lose those entitlements even though you are checking in as the day is ending. Your Disney Dining Plan entitlements do not expire day by day.  They are all placed into a pool to use throughout your trip. The entitlements are available as soon as you check in, and they do not expire until midnight on the checkout date of your package reservation. So, your first day's entitlements will be there waiting to be used when you need them, even on your check out day (if there are any remaining). Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
