Thanks for taking the time to visit planDisney, Rebecca! While Florida is best known for being the East Coast home of Mickey Mouse, the Sunshine State boasts another claim to fame as the unofficial golf capital of the United States. My family loves playing golf at Walt Disney World, so I'd be happy to assist you!
Walt Disney World Resort is home to four golf courses:
Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course is a 9- hole walking course perfect for beginners, while Disney's
Magnolia (currently closed for a re-imagination project),
Palm, and
Lake Buena Vista Golf Courses offer challenges for novice and experienced golfers alike; in fact, the PGA Tour has played events at all three! The Oak Trail, Magnolia, and Palm Courses are centrally located by the Shades of Green Resort in the Magic Kingdom area, so they are all serviced by the same Pro Shop, which is the larger of the two on Walt Disney World property. Lake Buena Vista's Pro Shop and Clubhouse are found on the grounds of
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.
It sounds like you're looking for a souvenir to commemorate your trip to The Happiest Place on Turf! Luckily, you do not need a tee time to visit either one! Both have a great selection of golf apparel with "some character" and EARidescent golf accessories, including limited edition Golf Head Covers featuring Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary celebration! Typically they are open from 7:00 AM- 7:00 PM, but this can vary depending on the season. If you'd like to view any
merchandise before your trip, visit the Walt Disney World Golf website at golfwdw.com.
I hope you have an un-fore-gettable time, Rebecca!
