Welcome to planDisney, Kevyn!
I am so happy that you stopped by with such a great question.
Kevyn, unless you are entitled to theme park ticket discounts through the military or your place of employment, booking a
vacation package (which contains both your room and theme park tickets) is usually going to be the most cost-effective option.
Before you book, check out the "
Special Offers" section of the Walt Disney World Resort website. New offers are released throughout the year, some of which are exclusive to vacation packages. If you book your vacation and an offer is released for your resort and travel dates, you can usually have it applied to your booking!
Kevyn, the other reason that you will want to book a vacation package as opposed to booking your
Disney Resorts Collection accommodations and theme park tickets separately, is the payment structure. When you book a vacation package you can do so with as little as $200 down! You can then pay as much, or as little, as you would like until the balance is due 30 days before check-in. Please note that payment terms and conditions are subject to change.
Oh, one last thing! When you book a vacation package, you can modify or cancel your package until 30-days away from your check-in date. If you book your accommodations and theme park tickets separately, tickets are completely non-refundable.
I just know you will have a wonderful time, Kevyn!
See you real soon!
