I am in charge of planning a trip for a great couple, with 2 children, ages 8 mths and 6 yrs. This will be my family's 4th trip and their first. We normally stay at AKL, July or late Aug. Please recommend a resort and best time to go for such young kids.

    Hello Semekeyo,

With a stroller-age child, the easiest places to stay would be the resorts that are on the monorail line: Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and Contemporary. These are all great because you can roll a stroller onto the monorail and be at the Magic Kingdom within minutes. Of these, I feel like the Polynesian has the best pool situation for the six year old.

Another good alternative would be the Beach Club resort. The Beach Club has by far the best pool at Walt Disney World with great play areas for the kids. You can also walk to Epcot or easily take a boat to Disney's Hollywood Studios, so this is convenient to two parks.

I would definitely choose a low-crowd time to visit. The lowest crowds are in mid to late September. However, it can still be quite hot at that time of year. Late January also has low crowds, but cooler weather which may be more comfortable.

Please let us know if you have additional questions. We're happy to help.
