Hello there Cathy!
It's great to "sea" you here at planDisney with this very important question. While
Disney Cruise Line is a spectacular choice for a family vacation, infants must be at least six months of age on the day of embarkation to sail, and
at least one year old on select cruise itineraries.
Unlike when visiting Disney Parks, there is a charge associated with all passengers regardless of age. Stateroom charges begin based on double occupancy, so exact pricing for your little crewmate will vary depending on the number of guests in your travel party. Once your little sailor is old enough to set off on the high seas they will be charged at a discounted rate as long as there are two full-price guests in the stateroom. If you'd be sailing alone with just your infant, you'd both be charged at the adult rate.
When the time is right to embark on your journey there are a number of
amenities available for the youngest members of your party. Complimentary Pack-n-Play cribs, bottle warmers, and diaper disposal units are available for request on a first-come first served basis. Specially designed splash and play water areas like
Nemo's Reef on Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy, and Toy Story Splash Zone on Disney Wish are also sure to delight your tiny cruiser.
When your sweet little one needs a change of scenery,
"it's a small world" nursery! can also be reserved for guests up to age three. There, they'll get to enjoy activities, playtime, and a mid-day nap while the rest of your travel party enjoys the pools, entertainment, and dining options available onboard. Reservations are available at an additional fee and advance booking is highly encouraged. I've seen previews of the nursery on Disney Wish and the artwork is so beautiful I wish I could replicate some of the décor in my own home!
I hope this was helpful Cathy. If we can be of any further assistance please don't hesitate to stop back with more questions.
"Sea" you real soon,
Amy
