Aloha, David.
Welcome to our planDisney ‘ohana where nobody (and no question) gets left behind!
As a Disney Gift Card connoisseur, I completely understand wanting to use up your Disney Gift Cards during your Walt Disney World Resort holiday in a few days. Likewise, I also understand wanting to take advantage of
charging purchases to your Disney Resort hotel room folio using your Disney band to streamline your vacation. While you cannot link your Disney Gift Cards to your Disney band as a form of payment at this time, you can use them to pay off your folio balance at your Resort’s Front Desk at your leisure.
Once you stop by the Front Desk to set up your PIN code and link your active credit card for charging privileges, an
authorization hold will be placed on that credit card for any balance due on your reservation, plus $100 for estimated incidentals. Each time your charged purchases exceed the original $100 authorization hold, additional incremental holds will automatically be obtained. The payment for the balance due on your folio will be processed after checkout, so as long as you stop by the Front Desk to pay off your balance with your Disney Gift Cards before then, you’ll be able to avoid the credit card you placed on file from being charged. Your credit card will be charged every fifth day of your stay if your reservation is longer than five days, so I encourage you to pay off your folio balance every few days if that describes your situation. I encourage you to read the full
Payment Card Policy ahead of your arrival to be sure you understand how it works, but as long as you stop by the Front Desk to pay off your folio often, you’ll be able to use your Disney Gift Cards accordingly.
I hope this information proves useful, David. Should you have further questions while riding out these last few waves of the
Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride that is planning a Walt Disney World Resort holiday, please stop by planDisney again and let us know.
See ya real soon,
Alyssa
