Walt Disney World, and of course, no visit is complete without meeting all of the amazing characters.
There is nothing my children loved more than getting autographs from their favorite characters. I love how the princesses all sign with a whimsical flair. You will also find that many characters like Mickey and his pals are all happy to sign autographs as well. Periodically, you will find a character like Pluto who, in lieu of a signature (because dogs can’t write, of course), will have an assistant with a stamp or provide a card with a signature. You can find your favorite characters at designated meet-and-greets and character dining experiences. The best way to find which characters are available in the parks is to use the
My Disney Experience app. Once you open the app, tap the upside-down teardrop icon at the bottom to take you to the park map. Along the top, you will find options such as Wait Times and Dining. Scroll over to Characters to see the currently available characters and locations for meet-and-greets.
Characters love signing classic Disney Autograph books that you bring or purchase in the parks. My wife found a Disney Encyclopedia of Characters book, which was super neat because everyone got to sign their own page. We found it helpful to bring along a few Sharpies, which are easier to write with than standard pens. You are also welcome to take pictures with your camera. I would also recommend getting Memory Maker to capture all of the magical moments with characters and throughout the parks. Memory Maker lets you use
Photo Pass photographers to take photos during character meet-and-greets and at select locations. We always get a family picture in front of the castle, and the photographers always make it extra special. You might even find they sprinkle a little pixie dust on your pictures.
