Are the characters of Rapunzel, Flynn, Ariel and Eric back at Trattoria al Forno as we want to have a character breakfast for our girls?

Hey there, Brett!  Welcome to planDisney.

I know that character dining is an iconic experience for many families' Walt Disney World Resort vacations.  While Trattoria al Forno is now serving both breakfast and dinner, the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast featuring Ariel, Prince Eric, Rapunzel, and Flynn Rider is temporarily unavailable.  Although several character dining experiences have returned since the temporary closure of Walt Disney World Resort, we haven't yet heard when these beloved characters might be returning to Trattoria al Forno.

You might like to try some other character dining locations that are currently available.  I highly recommend Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends at Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera.  In my opinion, the breakfast here is the best in all of Walt Disney World Resort.  My favorite dishes are the Quiche Gruyere and Sour Cream Waffle, but everything is delicious!  If you are specifically looking for a character breakfast, other options include Chef Mickey's, Tusker House Restaurant, and the Disney Junior Play n' Dine Breakfast at Hollywood & Vine.  The above locations also serve lunch and/or dinner. Hollywood & Vine features Minnie’s Seasonal Dining with Minnie and her friends for lunch and dinner.  Garden Grill Restaurant, featuring Chip and Dale, currently serves lunch and dinner, and Story Book Dining at Artist Point is a signature dinner experience featuring characters from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Brett, if you are unable to secure a reservation for character dining in advance of your trip, try searching again a day or two prior to your visit.  Other Guests' plans change all the time, and I'll often see tables become available 24 hours or so in advance.  Another option would be to join the walk-up waitlist in the My Disney Experience app.  To look for walk-up waitlist availability, use the plus button at the bottom of the home screen to "Check Dining Availability".  Select the date on the calendar, and then below the calendar select "Now".  You'll be able to see which dining locations in proximity to your location have walk-up waitlist availability.

I hope that helps!  If you have any additional questions, please stop by and see us again anytime.  Wishing you a wonderful vacation!
