Hiya, Ashley!
I have to tell you that I absolutely LOVE this question. My little ones are ALL about the characters, so interacting with them is a huge part of our Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
While characters are not out for "traditional" meet & greets, there are plenty of opportunities to see and interact with them through all four theme parks, and at several resorts, as well.
Ashley my number one tip to get some quality time with your favorite life-sized friends is to book a
character meal. My family's current favorite is Breakfast à la Art at
Topolino's Terrace located at Disney's Riviera Resort. On our last visit, our family noshed with Daisy, Donald, Mickey, and Mickey before hoping aborad the
Disney Skyliner to arrive at EPCOT in time to be one of the first in line at Frozen Ever After.
While you will be physically distanced from the characters, and there are no autographs, you will still get plenty of chances to wave and interact and get some great selfies with them, as well.
Another tip is to check your
My Disney Experience Mobile App to see what
character cavalcades are in the park you are visiting that day. These mini parades come through multiple times a day, and let you sing and dance will all your favorites. My kids absolutely loved being surprised by these parades. They would get SO excited anytime they would hear the music.
On our last visit, many characters were just roaming around, especially in EPCOT. We saw Winnie the Pooh catching butterflies and Chip and Dale frolicking in the fields.
My very last tip for you is to check out the area above the Train Station located above
Main Street, U.S.A. fairly often. You may see all kinds of friends, from the Fab Four to Peter Pan, to an entire line-up of princesses. My little girl spent a good 20 minutes blowing kisses back and forth to Minnie.
I hope that this gave you some ideas, Ashley. Please come back here to planDisney if we can help you plan any aspect of your vacation to help make it a little more magical.
See you real soon!
